Michael Schultz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 26, 2015.

Michael Elliott Schultz passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015. He was only 39 years old; our hearts are broken.

Born in Langhorne, the son of Marie Elena (Epp) and Larry Elliott Schultz, Michael was a lifelong resident of Fairless Hills.

As a young boy, he loved catching turtles and fishing in the creek behind the family home. He loved the outdoors.

Michael was very athletic, and broke track records while a student at William Penn Middle School. He attended Pennsbury High School.

Michael taught himself to play the guitar and became a talented musician. He was a great performer and was part of several local bands. He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. Michael would just light up a room with his wonderful personality.

After the attack on the Twin Towers, Michael enlisted in the Army. He served his country spending 18 months in Iraq assigned as a Cavalry Scout in the1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Division.

His maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Tamburello, and his paternal grandfather, Stanley Schultz, preceded him in death

Along with his parents, Michael is survived by his daughter Rachel Anna Schultz and her mother Daniela Schultz, and his daughter Scottie Marie Schultz and her mother Chelsea Crocker; by his sisters, Erica Marie McIntyre (Christopher), who he called his best friend, Nicole Elena Pearce (David), and SGT Lara Elizabeth Schultz; by his brothers Christopher David Schultz (Jamie) and Larry Schultz (Heather); by his paternal grandmother, Charlotte Schultz, and several aunts and uncles. His nieces and nephews to whom he brought so much joy will also sadly miss him.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, and on Wednesday, from 8:30 until 9:30 am, where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 9:30 am. Mike, I am far better off having met you. There was always something about you that kept me positive and brought about a smile to my face. Your motivation to jam and make music was a true gift. I miss being your friend. I salute you Mike, slow hand salute, and as I order arms, I thank you for your service and your kind nature to those we liberated in a time of need. You sir, are not only my friend, but a gift to all. Thank you God for bringing Mike into my life!!.
I'm just learning of this sad news this very evening of January 9th, 2016 and I'm devastated. My heart and prayers are with your wife, children and family, some of whom I knew at one time in my life, when we were in our younger 20s.
Spoke to my mom tonight who remembered the day you came over and sat in the living room waiting for me to come down stairs, and explained your strong faith with the lord. Mike, you're now in heaven and watching down on all of us. I will forever cherish the music we recorded together just prior to you leaving for the Army. I last saw you doing what you loved doing, playing your guitar over in Jersey, making music for people and blessing them with your unique passion talent. God bless you Mike. I'll never forget how full of life you are and forever will be. Your friend. Dan.

I am so sorry to hear the loss of mike. I have not seen him since high-school, but I do remember he always had a kind word. When I lost my son 3 years ago, he wrote to me on Facebook hoe sorry he was. My thoughts and prayers are with his daughters and his family, and all those who were close to him. GOD bless.

Michael served his country well.
In his short life he brought joy to
those he met with his warm smile and sense of humor. He fulfilled the mandate of Christ in John's Gospel (ch. 17) "I came that you might have joy and your joy would be complete." I pray that Michael now knows first hand the joy that Christ wishes us.
May God give his family that joy in their terrible loss.
