Not sure what to say?

Just stumbled on this as I was searching for Michael, discussing examples of people who inspired me with fellow co-workers. We were fellow engineers at Siemens and then he took me out to Livermore for Rocketry. I always was in awe of him for what he did at the peak of his professional career, to decide to give back and make a difference in young peoples lives. I am so honored to have known him, having the opportunity to have worked with him. So sad to find out he no longer with us. My sincere...

Mr. Smidebush was the best teacher I have ever had. He not only was there for help on his classes, but he was also there for me when I just needed some guidance with my personal life. He changed the way I saw life it self. He was more than just a teacher, he was a friend you knew was always there. I remember how much he loved talking about his old school Volkswagen van he used to have and how he would do anything to have it again. He used to go on and on about what beautiful long hair he had...

So sorry to hear of Michael's passing. I remember his kindness, intelligence, and ponytail. :-) Prayers for the Smidebush family at this sad time.

I worked with Michael at Siemens and found him to be one of the most approachable in his department, especially during chaotic times. He always had a calming nature and good sense of humor. When I think of Michael I can't help but smile.

I only interacted briefly with him at Siemens; however, each time, I was impressed at what a kind heart he had. Prayers to the family.

Was So Sad when I found out about Michael passing as we worked together many years and then my daughter had him as a Teacher and I could see he loved teaching. He will be missed!

Michael - a wonderful human being with the highest integrity and a beautiful spirit. Enjoyed working, discussing issues with him (Siemens), he was so engaging, and a deep thinker, always interested in improving the human condition when he could. He stood in the midst of frequently chaotic work as a rock. I remember our conversation when he told me about his decision to change his career and become a Physics HS teacher; he was so excited, and a little scared. I am glad he did it, he fulfilled...

Saying prayers for the family.

So sorry to hear of Michael's s passing. Our heartfelt sympathy to all of the family.
