It was my privilege and pleasure to have met Dr. Swanson in 1979 when I became his employee/friend and our son, Todd, and his children, Carl and Meghan, took YMCA Backyard Swimming Lessons together that summer. Although I stopped working with him in 1996, I always treasured occasionally running into him around town. I am so grateful that the last time we saw each other was when our furry children, Zipper, our maniacal Black Lab rescue, and his Toodles were both visiting their veterinarian....
