I went through the slide show and found a pic of Mike in the Cub Scouts Troop we both were in. Mike lived with me and Sue after he got out of the Navy. I am so happy that Mike found someone to love him. He deserved it. I wish I could tell Teresa about me and Mike. You don't get any closer than we were.

Mike and I were best friends from 4th grade till around 1990. He was the best man at my wedding. We could sit around and tell jokes or funny stories for hours. Even though we drifted apart when I moved away, I will, and still miss him. I hope he is in a good place and telling God his stories.

Mike, you were my loving husband, my best friend, and my biggest fan. Somehow you were only able to see the good in me. I will miss your sense of humor, jokes, and stories. I will miss sitting on your lap to tell you about my day and the gossip at work. I will miss your hugs and "I love yous". I will miss your laughing out loud at reruns of "Married with Children". I will miss the countless ways you showed your love for me. You always put me first. You hated when I was hard on myself and would tell me to stop beating myself up for being human. I am sorry Mike because I am beating myself up now for not recognizing how sick you were and being more compassionate. For not taking better care of you. For taking your love for granted and not cherishing my time with you. For all the times I was resentful, selfish, and unkind. Mike you truly were my better half, a better person than me and I will miss you the rest of my life. I would give anything to be able to hug you and tell you how much I love you. My only consolation is that you are free of pain now and with God.

Yours always, Theresa

I was one of Michael's shipmates on the R.K. Turner. I'll always remember that smile which lit up the room whenever Mike entered. What a good buddy! He went out of his way to contact me after many years of not keeping up with old Navy friends. He'll be missed, so sorry to hear of his passing.

I heard of Mikes passing from other friends who worked with him. Mike had a great dry sarcastic wit that always made me laugh when he knew a good laugh was needed. My deepest sympathy to Theresa and family.

Theresa: There remains so much love that I and others will share with you, and that I know you still have to share with others.... Which will help mend what I know is such a mournful loss. You have my prayers along with the recognition and celebration of the love you had for Mike and that which he had for you. You both were very good for and to each other and I believe that goodness remains with you along with God's presence.

Theresa, Elizabeth and Margaret,

I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was my best friend in High School and we had some great times together. Even after we both went in the Navy we sometimes met in different ports and I loved to go flying with him when I came home on leave. I had always assumed we would have more time to reconnect. Mike was top notch always helping my family when needed. His loss is incomprehensible. I'll miss him forever.

Theresa,
Mike was a good and long time friend to Maynard and me. He was one of the funniest guys I've ever known. He brought a lot of laughter to my life. He was always there with a ready joke or crazy view on life that could brighten any mood. I might not have seen him for years but every few months an email would pop up to make me smile.
