Not sure what to say?

I knew Michael for only a short time (four years), but his passion for librarianship and the health sciences was clearly evident. He was also a mentor to me as I became involved with the Health Science Librarians of Illinois. He was a great colleague, and also a good friend. Michael's contributions and kindness will be sorely missed. I am thinking of his family, friends, and former colleagues as they get through this difficult time.

I will remember Michael fondly. Kind and helpful. I was at the Illini Hospital - even when he was working in Burlington - a long time ago! My prayers are with you, Charles, and all his family.

Michael was such a nice ,respectful man..he will be missed. May he Rest In Peace.

I never met a nicer person than Michael! We always had a great time at HSLI meetings over the years; loved talking to Michael on the phone. So sorry for your loss, Charles. (We met at Jeanne Gittings funeral)

Peace be with you, Michael

Michael always made me laugh and I knew that life was good.

I had not been in contact with Michael in quite a while, but I worked with him a lot through HSLI and OCLC support and training in the 90s. He will always stand out in my mind as one of the warmest/kindest people I have ever worked with. My thoughts and prayers are with all who loved him.

I will miss his sense of humor.

Michael was always kind and never judgmental. I will miss his gentle presence.
