Mickey Casey

Mickey Casey passed from this life on to his eternal home on February 11, 2017 at his home in Frisco, Texas. Mickey was born on May 29, 1930 in Big Spring, TX to his parents Elry and Edna Casey. He was the middle child of three with his older brother, Billy and younger sister, LaRue.

Mickey served in the in the National Guard and the United State Air Force. He had a strong faith in Christ. He spent his work career as a builder and developer for most of his life. Friends and family recalled Mickey as being honest, hardworking, very intelligent, fun loving, artistically talented and the one of a kind guy who would make a positive impact on everyone he came into contact with. He loved life and especially loved his family. Mickey would often be heard using his two favorite terms; "Fantastic!!" and "Mercy!!" which would always make those around him smile and laugh.

Mickey loved spending time in the mountains of New Mexico and living on Lake Austin in Texas. Blessed with an inquisitive mind, he loved to paint, sculpt and play a little golf. He loved his own brand of music especially songs from Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack. His favorite actor was John Wayne and every movie he was featured in.

Mickey married the love of his life, Patsy Pollock on July 16, 1956 and they were together for over 60 years in blissful matrimony. They were blessed with three children; Kathleen Canales, Kara Casey Meyer, and Michael Casey. Mickey's legacy will live on through his seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, Elry and Edna Casey; his brother, Billy Casey; his sister, LaRue Lovelace; and his daughter, Kara Casey Meyer. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Casey of Frisco, TX; his daughter, Kathleen Canales and her husband, Chris Canales of Granger, TX; and his son, Michael Casey and his wife, Sheri Casey of Frisco, TX. His legacy will live on through his grandchildren, Garrett and Brennan Casey; Alexis and Christian Meyer; and Kristen McMillan, Kandace Williamson and Kate McMillan.

Mickey was loved while he was here with us on earth, and he will continue to be loved through time and all eternity.
