Miller Melville "De" DeSoto Jr.

Freshman year at Amherst, De was across the hall but on the same floor. Sophomore year, we were together in a 4 to a unit dorm. Then, from 1966 until just last month (Feb of ‘21) we had no contact - some 55 years. I reached out to him last month seeking for recollections for out 55th reunion, mostly with a focus on football- which he excelled at until an early knee injury or more did him in. Hearing his voice and tone - thoughtful, at times ironic - he was the same as back at Amherst. He...
