BLACKBURN, Miriam Nicholas Williams, of Richmond, died March 11, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Joseph Blackburn. She is survived by three sons, R. Joseph Blackburn Jr., Robert A. Blackburn and Thomas C. Blackburn; two daughters, Mary B. Randolph and Mollie V. Blackburn; one sister, Mollie W. McMurtrie; and 13 grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Bon Secours Hospice and St. Mary's Woods for their love and kindness. Her remains rest at Bliley's - Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, and where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Rd. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at www.blileys.com.

I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Blackburn. My thoughts and Prayers go out to all of you during this time. I worked for her for a short while and when I worked, we would chat and for that will it will always be good memories for me.

I am grieving with you over the loss of your mother. She was an amazing, gracious, and kind woman; the world is a better place because she was here. I will miss her so much.
