Grandmommy was one of the funniest people I've known. She was always telling jokes or just making hilarious comments. When we went to Indiana one time I remember we were headed to the grocery store with Grandmommy. My mom was driving Grandmommy's car and she said, what are you doing, park in the handicap spot My mom said, What no, your not handicap that's illegal. And she said, So, I do it all the time. That was just one of the funniest moments for me. I used to love writing her letters when I was little and every Sunday I used to talk to her on he phone. I always remember asking her What are you doing? And she would always say ahh noting just looking at the paper I remember because it was almost like her catch phrase because, she said it all the time. When we would travel to Indiana, Grandmommy would always be so welcoming and she would always let us sleep in her room. When I was with her and even when I talked to her on the phone, I always remember her on her porch. She was always on the porch watching what everyone was doing on the street. Even if she wasn't outside, if she heard a noise she would check. You just knew that no one could come up without her noticing. She always showed compassion and was very caring. She also proved to be a great caretaker, not just to her children but, to LC and her grandchildren. I am glad she is in a better place now, and I pray for everyone going through this rough time. But, I am glad she is no longer suffering.
