Murphy Troy "Murph" Antoine

I remember speaking with him the day I bought the 3 pieces of his amazing carvings. It was a pleasure to have met him and I think of him each time I look at my pieces, which I have displayed in my kitchen area. He was a treasure for his family and to those of us who were able to purchase his work. I will look forward to meeting him one day in Heaven.

I met Mr Antoine in New Orleans, 1998 and bought a beautiful carving of a man and a woman next to a car. I thought he told me it was outside of the Apollo in NY, but I could be wrong! It's lovely and a treasure. Thank you for your art that will carry on your legacy.

I was in New Orleans in 1997 and purchased 3 small carvings from Mr Antoine. I treasure them and had wished I had purchased a particular one he did of Louis Armstrong. I look forward to meeting him one day in Heaven. Such a wonderful gifted lovely man.

I met Murphy while I was on vacation in New Orleans in 1993. He had a display of his work, and a collection of carvings of classic cars caught my eye. There were Chevys, Fords and others. I asked if by any chance there was a Studebaker in the collection and he smiled a great big smile and handed me the only one he ever made. I still have it and treasure it as much as the first time I saw it. The carving and Mr. Antoine's smile and warmth are forever connected for me. Rest in peace "Murph".
