Myrtle Freda Watson Reeves was born August 3, 1916 in Fairchild, Texas to Augusta and Maurice Watson. She attended the Damon Schools until she graduated. Myrtle married Roy Reeves on September 23, 1933. They moved to Orchard in 1939 for Roy to begin working in the sulphur mines. Myrtle and Roy were life long residents of Orchard. She was a life long member of the Orchard United Methodist Church where she also was active in the Methodist Women’s Group. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing dominos and family gatherings. Myrtle loved keeping not only her daughters but her grandchildren as well in the most fashionable clothes. Survived by her daughters, Roberta Stade and companion Richard Froehlich, Beverly Matej and husband Joe, Carolyn Dean and husband Michael. There are seven grandchildren, Clinton Stade and wife Jacky, Karl Stade and wife Janet, Nelda Stade, Pamela Demny and husband Steve, Sheila Kolafa and husband Leo, Mitchel Eben and wife Debi and Amy Nord and husband Chris. She has 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is survived also by a brother, Arnold Watson. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy, brother Alvin Watson, sisters, Janie Peters, Maude Schelinger, Mamie Williamson, son-in-law Alton Stade. Memorial are to the Orchard United Methodist Church, St. Vincent DePaul Society of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, Texas or the Charity of your choice. The family thanks the Richmond Health Care Center and American Hospice for the wonderful care that they gave their loved one and the support that they gave the family during this difficult time. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 9, 2010 in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral home at 2:00 P.M. with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P.M. on Friday.
