Our family moved to Wichita Falls, Texas in 1955.   Mom’s heart’s desire and life’s goal was to be a good wife and good mother.  We are here to declare her success! Myrtle Young was an avid homemaker, home room mother, PTA member, Girl Scout Leader, school trip sponsor for both high school band and choir,as well as a counselor many years at church camp.  She sewed clothes for us and our dolls, kept a spotless home and loved to work with flowers.  No one ever left our home hungry and all were welcome.  She was a Christian and served actively in the church nursery, at Bible Baptist and Southwest Baptist Churches.  All the while faithfully supporting her husband as he led the church bus ministry for both locations.

Her life legacy:  Children; Diane Young Bogart Walker, Carol Young Miller, Jeanne Young Ellis and husband, Wade Ellis all of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Foster Daughter - Debbie Campbell of Hope, Arkansas; Grandchildren, Jim (Trey) Miller and wife, Julie of Little Elm, Texas, Sean Bogart and wife, Jackie of Iowa Park, Texas, Josh Miller and wife, Amber of Dallas, Texas, Jessica Ellis of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Lacie Campbell Lippard of Wichita Falls, Texas; Great- grandchildren, Justin and Dani Bogart, Aria and Caleb Miller, and Dylan, Drayden and Jaynie Lippard.  While this chapter of her life book has ended, the best chapter has just begun.  …and her children call her blessed.

Not sure what to say?

Carol, thinking of you and your family and praying for all of you! Love ya

Carol Diane and Jeanne, my prayers are with you and your families. Love and hugs.... I loved that picture of your parents standing together on the porch when they were young, I think they are like that again....holding hands.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the family. Myrtle was a wonderful, beautiful woman of God. Take comfort in knowing that she is sheltered in His arms.
