Nancy was born on July 7, 1948 and passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019. She grew up with three sisters and a brother in Stephen, was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, and graduated from the Stephen Public Schools in 1965. Burial will be at the Stephen Cemetery with a private family graveside service.
Nancy brought our three children into this world in Carbondale, PA. She remained a very close family friend and we visited her in Mullins, SC after she moved there.
As new parents she was a constant help to my wife Mary and I. She will be missed greatly but never forgotten.

It was an honor and a privilege to have worked with Nancy over the many years we spent together in South Carolina. I have always admired her fund of knowledge, judgment, and caring and compassionate approach. She certainly leaves this world a better place, and she will be missed.

I worked with Nancy for 16 years at North Strand OB-GYN. She was an amazing midwife. She was always cooking us goodies and made the best Swedish meatball and mashed potatoes. I am sorry to hear of her passing. May God wrap His loving and comforting arms around her family.

As Nancy's cousin, I have fond memories of visiting her at St. Olaf, getting my ears pierced and working together at a summer camp in New Hampshire after she drove my college roommate and me to our extraordinary adventure. I stayed with her in the Twin Cities right out of high school for my first job as a waitress at an Ember's restaurant. I am forever grateful for her presence in my life and pray that God will bless her memory among us all!
