Nancy Conrad

Nancy and I were high school classmates at Wisconsin High School in Madison, WI. She was a witness at my wedding and a lifelong friend despite living half a country away after college. Whenever I visited my daughter and family in Portland Nancy and I would get together for a long chat. And we would plan high school reunions over the years. I will her miss.

Nancy became my friend when her children attended Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood, WA and I was the German teacher. We shared many thoughts about life and politics and enjoyed each other very much. She improved the world greatly. She is missed.

We enjoyed pur friendship with Nancy. She was lively, interesting to talk to and led an active life. We shared many breakfasts at Grand Central and many Happy Hours at the Matador. She was one of those people who never met a stranger. She met her illness and subsequent prognosis with amazing grace and dignity. I will truly miss my friend and wish comfort and peace for her family

My son was in Nancy´s 4th and 5th grade classes at Markham ES. She was a wonderful, inspirational , and creative teacher. I enjoyed volunteering in her classroom, watching how the children responded to her questions and how she encouraged their learning so many things from discussions about the stories they read. She is fondly remembered in our house, even 20+ years later!
