Not sure what to say?

I am Walter Greenberg. My daughter Rosey took flute lessons from Nancy. Rosey also took clarinet lessons from Grant. I went to see Nancy and Grant play many times with small ensembles and with the symphony in Galesburg. She was a great lady, a great teacher, and a great musician. I will miss her.

To Nancy's Family,
I just learned of this. My heart hurts. I was a flute student of Nancy's for 4 years in the late 70's, while I was in high school. She was a fantastic teacher, and I just loved her. I gave her a flute figurine. She was always so kind, understanding and patient and still able to get me to be a better flautist. She once let me play her beloved Haynes flute. I was so happy when she found someone with whom to spend her life. I lost track of her after I married and...

Dear Grant and family,
I'm so incredibly sorry to hear about Nancy's passing. I will always remember how kind and welcoming she was (along with you). She was such a wonderful musician and had so much strength to go through what she did. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and I will keep you in my prayers. May her memories comfort you as you find comfort in knowing she is now in God's loving arms. Thinking of you.

Grant,
I'm so sorry to hear about Nancy. It was a great pleasure to get to play with you both. No matter how she was feeling, she was always a consummate musician. My thoughts and sympathies are with you and your family.

Grant and Matt - We are so sorry to hear about Nancy's passing. What a horrible shock. I can't image what grief you are going thru. I am so, so sorry. Even though we are in a different state, I have and always had great memories of a great and caring cousin. I remember when, in our younger years, she let me visit in Ohio when she had a break from college. Even at that time, I knew about her love for animals and music. She had a great little furry kitty cat companion (may have been...

Grant, Nancy will be missed by so many people. May you be comforted by all the wonderful memories you made with her. Keep all of your friends close and be at peace with the love they will give you. Gaylon and Edie

Mr. Gillett--

I had the honor of being Nancy's student for 7 years. She was one of the kindest people I knew and she helped me achieve my potential as a flutist. I will never forget memories of lessons in the afternoon after school--Nancy was always interested not only in my musical aspirations, but also in me as a person. She was a constant source of encouragement, and was just fun to be around. She will be missed. Praying that God provides comfort and strength during this...

Matt's colleagues at FINRA would like to offer our condolences to the Gillett family on the passing of Nancy Gillett. In addition to her many accomplishments as a musician, she raised a very fine son Matt, a valued friend and contributor to our FINRA team. Nancy will be remembered for instilling the spirit of a teacher in her son, who has become a natural mentor in his field and inspired many of his colleagues in his chosen craft. Our thoughts and sympathies are with you.

Your students Rachael and Miriah Bush

Mr. Gillett you are forever in our prayers for all the loving teaching you and Nancy have provided over the years. May God give you the strength you need at this time.
