The Lady Goodyear and I were good friends for 25 years at Milton, and during that time I never heard a scholar speak of her in anything but the most glowing terms. I was so pleased to see her at our monthly post-career teacher dinners where we could talk about the Braves. gardens, books, Republicans, and scholars-past. and I could learn from her on all subjects worth knowing about. She was a treasure.
