Not sure what to say?

Nancy's inscription to me in the unbound first publication of her book handed out in class of same name. Nancy organized the paradigm for simple understanding for guys like me.

"Nick, Org-a-ni-za-tion forevever! Nancy"

Seems like only yesterday, thirty-six years on.

In 1978, Nancy was the Mass Communication Lab faculty advisor. If not for her, I would not have been elected it's president. Nancy was gifted with inspiring creativity in the lab's promotional projects for University of Iowa institutions & organizations. My group had a Hancher Entertainment promotional project. Nancy glided in & out overseeing our project. Besides mentor Al Talbott, Nancy L. Harper had the most influence on my academic life at the University of Iowa. R.I.P.

Wish I had been more prepared for class.

In 1979, Nancy walked into class really excited. She was carrying in both arms unbound pre-first addition copies of Human Communication Theory: The History of a Paradigm. She handed out a free copy to each of us students. But first, she signed each with a personal note. On mine, Nancy wrote, "Nick, "Org-ani-zation forever! Nancy" because she had picked up on the way I pronounced the word organization. She was a brilliant lady with calming demeanor. R.I.P.

I am so sad to know you are no longer with us. You were so wonderful to me and my family while working with you in the Dean's Office. Will miss your smile and laugh. Bennie Beretta

I will always remember with fondness the great times shared with Nancy at Duquesne University. She was one of a kind and I still miss her after all these years. Love and Peace to Ric and family. Rob Bellamy

You were a great friend. My wife and I are missing your company and your wit. We wish the best for Rick,Galen, Dennis and Roger during this time of sorrow. William A. Wildschut

Rest in peace Nancy. We had some great conversations with Ed, Peter, yourself and myself. Now you get to debate with God.

I am so sorry for Nancy's early departure from this earth. I knew her, though not well, and she was a wonderful woman and a great influence to those around her. This is very sad.
