What a great man he was..

Remembering the service and sacrifice of Sgt Nathan Vacho.

I train for about 3 months with sgt. Vacho, at Ft. Bragg, NC, we deployed together in 2006, there is no single day that I'm not think about this warrio. Than you, SFC A Lopez.

I think of Nate often, especially today. We worked together at Skaalen. He helped me through my brothers deployment, as well as some dark days.

John helped me several years ago, not long before Nathan made the ultimate sacrifice. John resolved, for me, in a few days(might even have been a few hours) what the Army could not accomplish in many weeks - get my son released from USAR to active duty. Some time later, I called John to thank him and tell him of my son's upcoming deployment. That's when I learned of the family's loss. Thinking of Nate today, Memorial Day. Served with him, drank beer with him. You are not forgotten.
