Not sure what to say?

My wife Lyne and I want to thank the Amyotte's for the beautiful ceremony last week for Neil in Fort Coulonge. Lyne and I have known Neil for almost 40 years starting in Labrador and throughout college and subsequently here in Ontario. Neil and I shared apartments in St. John's and ran a DJ business for several years to make ends meet. We had a million laughs with Neil over a lot of fun years. It's clear from the messages on this site that everyone had the same experience whether it was for...

To: Friends & Family of Neil Amyotte

It is hard to put into words the sadness of the news I received today. Neil had an infectious smile and touched everybody's heart in a different way.

I met Neil approximately 10 years ago on the bus riding home from work. We just started chatting and our friendship grew from there. Neil met my wife and kids and we often saw him at bowling and walking his dog in our neighbourhood.

My sincere condolences go out to your entire family....

We were very sad to hear of your recent loss. We met Neil on the bus and at the bowling centre. He was a kind man and we enjoyed being with him. What I will mostly miss are his big hugs on Thursday's night at bowling and his sense of humour. Neil, you are in our thoughts and prayers. (Jazz & Kev)

My deepest sympathies to the Amyotte family at this difficult time. I've known Neil since we were children growing up in Wabush, Labrador. We reconnected a couple of years ago, and again this past summer, at a gathering of classmates in Ottawa; it was wonderful to see Neil and chat about old times. I will remember Neil with fondness; he had a big laugh and a big heart. He will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Amyotte family as they cope with this devastating loss. I lived close to Neil while we were growing up in Wabush and he and I walked to and from school together for many years. We lost contact with each other after we both moved from Wabush, but I was pleased that we re-established our friendship in 2001 during a "mini" high school reunion. We talked as easily as we did all those years ago in school. He called me last June to inform me of another high...

My sincere condolences to the Amyotte family. I lived across the street from Neil in Labrador and we graduated together in the same small tightly-knit group. We lost touch for many years but some of our classmates made a connection via email and arrangements were made for a couple of mini-reunions. I met up with Neil again at a couple of those and enjoyed catching up on his life over those missing years. We kept in contact after that, mostly via email, and Neil always sent the best jokes....

I was deeply saddened by this news and send my heartfelt condolences to the Amyotte family.
