Nelson P. Bray
Nelson P. Bray, 73, husband, father, grandfather and brother, of Owl Creek Road, Tamaqua, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, in the Blue Mountain Health System's Gnaden Huetten Campus, Lehighton. He was the husband of Margaret D. "Peggy" (Garra) Bray. They were married for 15 years.
He was a mechanic for the U.P.S. Hometown Depot for 25 years before retiring.
Born on Sunday, Nov. 22, 1942, in Allentown, he was a son of the late Howard and Margaret (Neidig) Bray.
He was a graduate of William Allen High School, Allentown.
Bray was handy and enjoyed collecting and antiquing.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Shawn M., and his wife, Victoria, of Strausstown; a daughter, Jill A., wife of John Suter of Salisbury Township; two stepsons, Dan Trout of Wilkes-Barre and Nick Trout, and his wife, Diana, of Harrisburg; a sister, Shirley DeFrates of Philadelphia; and eight grandchildren.
He was also predeceased by three sisters, Verletta Reed, Emily Beachel and Joan Gehman; and two brothers, Bryan and Reuel.
