New York City Helicopter-Crash Victims-Obituary

New York City Helicopter Crash Victims

Five passengers died when a New York City sightseeing helicopter crashed in the East River, according to the New York Times.

The helicopter specialized in doors-off photo tours where passengers are harnessed and they can lean out and take photos of the Manhattan skyline.

The helicopter radioed for help shortly after taking off from New Jersey. The pilot said he had engine failure.

Officials say that a passenger’s bag may have inadvertently hit the emergency fuel shutoff button.

The pilot was able to free himself and escape, unfortunately the passengers were not able to free themselves from their harnesses.

On Monday, a law enforcement official identified the vicitms as Daniel Thompson, 34, and Tristan Hill, 29, both from New York; Trevor Cadigan and Brian McDaniel, both 26 from Dallas; and Carla Vallejos Blanco, 29, who was from Argentina.

We invite you to share condolences for the victims in our Guest Book.

To the families and friends of the helicopter crash victims. I am very sorry for your loss. Words can take away the pain you are going through at this time but it is my prayer that God will give you comfort and strength to cope with this tragedy.

My heart is breaking for the families and friends of all the victims. There are no words that can describe your grief. My friends, Rich and Kathy Thompson, lost their only child. The devastation is indescribable for each one touched by this disaster. Our God is weeping with you!!! I pray you will know His love and comfort in your grief!

My deepest condolences to all those affected by this tragedy. Many times like this, we are left to try to figure out questions like why did this happen and why did God do this. Please be comforted by His own words at Job 34:10 and Jeremiah 29:11. I sure hope that you can find peace and comfort to soothe your hearts.

My condolences to each of the families affected by this terrible tragedy. May you all be comforted by our Heavenly Father during this difficult time. Psalm 46:1
