Nicholas "Nicholi" Gardner

Nick was my brother and childhood best friend and it don't feel real right or has sunken in yet that he is gone so I honestly don't know what to say except I'm glad we were talking because a year ago we wouldn't have been talking at all and the last time I seen him a few weeks before he passed for some reason I insisted on the last thing we did together was to get pictures in a photo booth even though I hate getting my picture taken especially now because my health is so bad I'm just over 120...

Today seems so surreal. I hurt so much for my sister, her family and everyone who loves Nicholas. One of my fondest memories of Nick is when he visited me in New Orleans with his mom and brother Brandon. We walked around Jackson Square, ate beignets at Cafe du Monde, and went on a swamp tour. We had lots of laughs and good talks. The boys were so funny trying to see how many Mardi Gras beads they could fit around their neck. Another special memory of Nick is when he came to Virginia...
