Not sure what to say?

When I saw Uncle Nick Manganas' obituary on-line last night, I was saddened to learn of his death. I had no idea that he had passed away.

Even though he lived in Pittsburgh and my family lived in Cleveland, Ohio while I was growing up, I have very fond memories of him visiting my parent's house on occasion when my Uncle George was there. Many years ago, I happened to run into him and his family in Atlantic City, NJ. We had such a lovely chat in the brief time that we spent...

My condolences to Nick's family. While I only knew him a short time, so many years ago, the memory of his kindness has stayed with me. I had the utmost respect for the gentleman that he was.

Tommy, I am so sorry for your loss.
My prayers are with you and your family as you say goodbye to your granpa. Please know, he is once again filled with joy, where the glory of God gives light all the time, the water of life flows from the throne and the tree of life is full of its many types of fruit for his pleasure.
Blessings to you all in your time of grief.

A great man, who held his head up with pride, he had so many things to be proud of.... His family, his work, and anything that he conquered throughout his life. I have many memories of him, but mostly from my teen years..... Washing his car was something I did many times. I loved him and Aunt Jean like parents. They are together now, and finally Tommy has both his parents with him. His memory and his legacy with live on through all of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

I had the pleasure of meeting "Papa Nick" in his home in New Port Richey. I could see why he was so talked about and loved. Our Julia will have beautiful memories of her time spent with him in his home, along with his loving extended family. Our deepest sympathy to all, especially John & Rita. Our love & prayers are with you. Ricky & Lucy

To the Manganas/Liokareas family, my heart goes out to you. Your Father/Grandfather was a great man. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dear Uncle Nick,

I grew up idolizing you, Uncle Nick, you were bigger than life itself. I worked hard so you could notice my efforts - you inspired me. You were not only the "King of the Bridges", you were a great family man which I tried to emulate. From afar, you were and always will be my hero.

May God rest your blesed soul ... and please say hello to my father in law, Tom.

Your loving nephew,
John Michael Pateras
