Not sure what to say?

Noel O'Sullivan was among the first people to welcome me to Notre Dame so many years ago. Even now I still remember his warm smile and cheerful disposition. If only we were more like that everyday. May he rest in peace.

Noel O'Sullivan was one of the first people to welcome me to Notre Dame so many years ago. I still remember his friendly smile and cheerful disposition. If only we were more like that every day. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Noel O'Sullivan. He was one of my first physical education teachers at Notre Dame. I had him for golf and always remembered how he preached that we needed to learn how to play the game because we might use it in the business world some day. I later became a sports writer and often ran into "Sully" at golf events that I covered in and around South Bend and nationally. We often talked about our shared upbringings in northern New Jersey (I am from Livingston)...

Coach facilitated my acceptance into Notre Dame and then I played on his golf team from 1977-81. He made my college and golf dreams come true and I'm forever thankful.

I know where Coach is, the Irish will never lose again!

It's a "bee-yoo-tee-full" day!

I had the good fortune of taking a golf class with Mr. O'Sullivan my freshman year at Notre Dame. I never left the putting green without an ear to ear smile on my face. He brought so much happiness to so many students and will be remembered so fondly.

It is a beautiful day in heaven for G-O-L-F. May he Rest In Peace.

Please accept our sincere condolence and prayers for you at this time of bereavement.

Having been a long time fellow professional, but more importantly,a true friend of "Sully", I can say he was one of a kind. Even in this time of sorrow, thinking of him brings a smile, and even a chuckle reflecting on our time together.
