Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the entire family. Softball at Fox park and steaks at Thurmer's. Norb was bigger than life and just a great person to be around. Just look at his photo. How could you not love the guy. RIP buddy

St.Louis lost a legend. Thurmers was the original sports bar in our town.Always enjoyed talking softball with Norb. He helped to sponsor our football team, saw the Billiken basketball team many a time enjoying his hospitality after a SLU game.Norb had a heart of gold. God bless.

Norb was one of my all-time favorite people. The stories were priceless. Godspeed my friend. RIP

I was going to go to the wake on Wednesday evening but things came up and was unable to attend. Will miss seeing Norb at SM games. He wouldn't miss one. Sorry to the Thurmer family for your loss. Will keep all of you in my prayers. Always appreciated Norb's support when I coached his son, Steve in freshman basketball. Again prayers to the family.

Norb was a friend through softball and will always be remembered by me as one of the best! May he rest in peace and now team up with Russ Boice again. They will be putting together another team in the spring I'm sure!

Cousin Steve, Sharon and Susie, our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Norb was a great Uncle and I'm so glad that Katie and I took my mom Doris (Norb's sister) to visit with him a couple months ago when we were in St. Louis. We had a wonderful visit and he told us many of his softball stories. I can still remember Dave Thurmer and I going to a Cardinals football game on a bus outside the tavern when we were very young. Norb will truly be missed.

Very sorry for your loss. I remember the first time we met; you shared great South side stories, which included your dad. May your faith, memories & the love of family and friends comfort you.

Joe & Gus Henry send our deepest condolences to the Family. Norb was our Coach & friend and will be missed!
