Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Spivey was our substitute teacher at Highlands Elementary back in the late 60's. Back then, teachers didn't "hang out" with students like today, but she would let us stay in at recess and chat. She was a strong influence on me becoming a teacher. I told her that years later and glad I did. Wish we could all be more like her. Susan Culpepper Warren

To the family: Norma Jean was loved by everyone who knew her. Take comfort that she was a wonderful talented Christian.

Wonderful memories of Mrs. Spivey at Northview. We remembered her life at our reunion Class of 1983.

Norma Jean was one of the only teachers that accepted me for who I was. She was wonderful during a hard part of my life. She always hollered at me wherever she saw me! Always genuinely interested in my life! She was an awesome inspiring woman!!!!

Besides organizing the class trips, she was at every football game supporting the students/players. It was a special privilege for us to have invited her to participate in the annual...

You will be missed but not forgotten.
