WESTMORE, VT - Norman Ross Woolard, 16, of Westmore beloved son of Elaine Cashin and the late Norman Earl Woolard died suddenly Tuesday, August 24, 2004, in Westmore. He was born on October 14, 1987 in Southbridge, Massachusetts. Norman was a junior at Lake Region High School in Orleans. He enjoyed 4 wheeling, waterskiing, and hunting and fishing. He played high school basketball, golf, and soccer. Norman enjoyed making people laugh through his jokes and impersonations as he always had a smile. He is survived by his mother Elaine and step-father Bill Cashin of Westmore, by his sisters and brothers, Jacqueline Marie, Julianne Renee, Jennifer Roberta Woolard of Westmore, Callie Rae and Billy L. Cashin of Westmore, and Seth Woolard of Spencer, Ma; maternal grandmother Marianne Nicol of Amesbury, Ma; by his step grandparents William L. and Patricia A. Cashin of Chicopee, Ma; by his aunts and uncles, Roland and Patricia Nicol of Kensington, NH; Roger Nicol of E. Kingston, NH; Michael and Marie Sue Connolly of Windham, NH; Michael and Marianne Curry of E. Kingston, NH; Robert Woolard of Providence, RI; Robert and Deborah Bys of Springfield, Ma; Darren and Dawn Riley of Chicopee, Ma; and by numerous cousins.He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Norwood and Roberta Woolard and maternal grandfather Rene Nicol. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday August 27,2004 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport (formerly Sias Ave). Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Barton on Monday August 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Rupp celebrating a mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery,Westmore. Should friends desire, contributions in Norman's memory may be sent to the National MS Society, 100 Dorset St, Suite #12, S. Burlington,VT 05403. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Homes, locally family owned and operated.
