Not sure what to say?

Olaf was a very special person to our family. We always enjoyed visiting with him and Ival and did so as often as we could. His research on our ancestry was greatly appreciated. Ival and Olaf were very proud of their sons and loved their grandchildren. Our love and deepest sympathy go out to you, David and James. You are in our prayers. God bless.

Your dad was a fine man and father. I always enjoyed playing golf with him, and, my dad. Many memorable experiences. He was a straight shooter for many reasons.

Peace be with you,

George Hogshead

Dear David and Jim, I'm so sorry to hear about the death of your father. I always admired Olaf, and I know how much my father loved and valued him as a friend. I hope many fond memories provide some comfort to you in the days and weeks ahead. In sympathy, Deb Hogshead

From our house I would watch him comb his hair on her back porch before going to school at Vinton High School. I also watched OC and a friend (Jud Bobo)? pass a baseball around. He was the leading scorer on the basketball team at VHS. OC was certainly a wonderful man. Grandma was so proud of him and so concerned when he was in the Marines. She had a big picture of OC in his dress uniform in her...
