Growing up next to the Pfeiffers was such a privilege. They knew the true meaning of the word neighbor. Those smiling eyes and that huge smile were a comfort to see across the driveway. I remember the day Oscar told my son to call him Grandpa "O". That simply made official what I had known for over twenty years :)

Our deepest sympathies to Oscar's family. I loved hearing the good-natured banter between him and my father in law over the back fence. Our older children still remember playing with his dogs and Big O and Sylvia's wedding. We will all miss him. He was a unique individual we were privileged to know.

What a wonderful man! I recall many times as he and my dad stood at the back fence chatting. He was a great friend and neighbor to my parents and I was blessed to hang out with his grandchildren as we grew up. He "adopted" all of my parents grandchildren as they called him "Grandpa O" and played with the dogs. He will be missed. Thank you for your presence in my life, Mr. Pfeiffer. You are at peace now. My family lived next door to Oscar for decades. He was a wonderful friend to my parents and treated my siblings and I as if we were his own grandchildren. Some of my happiest childhood days were spent at Oscar's house and playing in his yard. I loved him dearly, and I will miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with his children and grandchildren, and with Sylvia.
