Pamela was born in Alameda CA on November 11, 1961 and passed away on January 31, 2020 in Petaluma CA after a 5-month battle with Cancer. She was 58. Pamela grew up in San Lorenzo CA, Pleasanton CA and moved to Novato at 16 where she graduated from San Marin High School in 1979. It was then she started her first and only job with Safeway Stores, working in Marin and Sonoma Counties. She reached her 40-year career in June 2019 and was ready to retire. She was known and loved by so many employees and customers alike who will miss her terribly. Her greatest joy was her only son Brandon, who she raised alone as a single parent. Pamela was an avid Oakland Raiders fan and spectator. She could be at a game, sports bar, or anywhere in public with her Raider gear on and in just minutes with her knowledge of stats, years, positions, and drafts, would have every male (fan or not) crowded around her with questions and pure surprise at the answers she'd belt out with a huge laugh and smile on her face. She knew her team in great detail like no other female could. The men had her instant respect! Pamela was also a big fan and memorabilia collector of Marilyn Monroe. She had collected memorabilia for the last 40 years and her home was a Marilyn Monroe sanctuary. She looked like her most of her life and always shared the same hair color and fashion that the famous model had. Pamela is preceded in death with her father, Larry B. Newman. Eternity together. She leaves behind her son Brandon Matelli, mother Lydia Newman, sister Julie Newman Yanak, and brother Bryan Newman. She had the pleasure and love of her 4 nieces and 1 nephew and many extended aunts, uncles and cousins. Contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of Petaluma who were with her every step of the way as she made her way to heaven. A Private Family Celebration of Life Will Be Held Later This Year

My sweet daughter. I felt like calling you to say, Hello my Pam-a- le-ta, but realized that you're not here in the flesh anymore, not ever again. I believe that you're at peace now and not suffering anymore, I really do, but I can't believe that we can't talk back and forth so I can hear you say Hi mom!. I can't believe that your true self alive here in earth is gone, except for your remaining ashes. How do I adjust to this change in my life as your mother? My consolation is my firm belief...
