Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

Fitzsimons, Pat (nee Stanfill), age 93, passed away, Sunday, December 22, 2019.  She was the beloved wife of Frank Thomas Fitzsimons, who preceded her in death in 1982; dear mother of Dennis (Pam) Fitzsimons, Doris (Bob) Cook, and Don (Carolyn) Fitzsimons; loving grandmother of Brian (Teri) Cook, Lindsay (Mike) Arwood, Christy (Zach) Placzek, Elizabeth Knowles, and Meredith Fitzsimons; precious great-grandmother of Ryan, Oscar, Daphne, Millicent, Hunter, Adeline,  Emily and Benjamin, Fin and Granger.  Pat was preceded in death by her husband, parents Luther and Elizabeth Stanfill, two brothers and 4 sisters.

Pat (“Gigi”) drew strength from her faith; which, in turn, inspired everyone she met to live life to the fullest and to love and enjoy others unconditionally. She filled the lives of her loved ones with games, Christmas carols, and light-up sweaters. She literally LIVED for Christmas and LOVED everything about it! “Gigi’s” lifelong wish was for everyone around her to be filled with laughter...and for squirrels eating her birdseed to become extinct.

Services: On Thursday, December 26, 2019 - Visitation 10:30-11:30 a.m. and Funeral Service 11:30 a.m. at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

She was a hoot! She showed those around her how to love and enjoy life.

Loved Pat, her laughter and smile! She was a beautiful woman ... she loved life. She was a prankster...one particular thing I remember her doing was putting birdseed in our bed when we went on our honeymoon, so when we came home we would have a surprise! Boy, did we! She was a precious friend to my mother and our family. Rest In Peace sweet Pat! Tell Dad hello and that I love him ... we will see you all again in Glory ❤

She was a dear friend and she will be missed a lot.
