Patricia Sue Lemley Bryant, born February 27, 1933, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. She was born in Houston, Texas to Robert L. Lemley and Eloise Jack Lemley. She graduated valedictorian in 1950 from Refugio High School. She and Jerry both loved their Refugio Bobcats. Jerry played football and Pat was a cheerleader. She was president of the student council, class favorite and was involved in numerous other high school clubs and organizations. Pat earned a B.S. degree from Texas A & I University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While Jerry was serving as an Army lieutenant in Washington D. C., Pat worked as secretary to Senator Lyndon B. Johnson. In 1957, they moved back to Corpus Christi where Jerry began teaching school and their daughter ( Leslie) was born. Pat also taught school and served as a nutritionist for the Corpus Christi Independent School District. Pat was a long time member of The Church of The Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and served in the St. Francis Guild, The Committee of Seven, a volunteer at Shepherd's Corner (resale boutique) and was an Easter Egg lady for many years. Pat is survived by a daughter, Leslie Moore (Pruett) and her two beloved grandchildren, Mason Bryant Hill and Rachel Ann Moore, her sister-in-law, Jane Bryant Schmiedekamp and numerous nieces. Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, cousin, aunt and friend. She loved to golf! She adored her two grandchildren more than anything else. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 21st from 5:30-7:30 pm at Seaside Funeral Home in Corpus Christi. Funeral Services will be held in Corpus Christi at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Friday, July 22nd at 10:00 am followed by a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery in Refugio, Texas. Pallbearers are Pruett Moore, III, Mason Bryant Hill, John Long, Doug Odle, Travis Moore and Matt Massad. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff for the wonderful care at The Mirador (Plaza) for the last 3 ½ years and to everyone at New Century Hospice. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Triumph Over Kids Cancer.
