I knew Pat when she was Director of Coronary Care at United Hospital. As a leader she led by example - calm and steady in a crisis - always showing compassion for patients and concern for her nurses.
She was a supportive friend to me who I greatly admired. After a successful career in management she advanced her education to become a Nurse Practitioner. She said she wanted to get back to her first love which was direct patient care.
