Havana, FL- Patti Lewis Brinson, beloved daughter, sister, mother, Nana, and friend, was taken from us on April 10, 2012 at the age of 57. She was born August 31, 1954 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late John Bass Lewis and Lucile Dudley Lewis. Patti called Havana, FL home for the past 14 years and was employed by the United States Postal Service as a Rural Carrier in Havana since 2007. Patti had a great passion for the Lord and was totally dedicated to her family and friends. She also had a passion for the love of the outdoors, nature and of animals of all kinds. She especially loved spending time at the beach and always found a great sense of peace being near the ocean. Patti was a creative soul who enjoyed all types of art and crafts. She was very proud to be a grandmother and spending time with her only grandson gave her great joy.
Patti was preceded in death by her brother, John (Butch) Lewis. She is survived by her daughter, Angela McVey Findley; son-in-law, Brian Findley; and grandson, Jackson Findley. Other surviving family members include a cousin, Walter Glen Dudley and aunt, Virginia Dudley.
Visitation will be at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home 700 Timberlane Road on Tuesday (April 17) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. EST at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus,Ga.

Dear, sweet Patti you will be missed! I was pleased to have such a nice woman move in across from us 14 years ago, a lovely person who I had many things in common with: mom, animal lover and even someone my own age.
We are still in shock at her loss and my first thoughts were of Patti and her devotion to her daughter, Angela and her new love in grandson Jackson. She deserved a chance to enjoy her happiness and she will continue her watch as your guardian angel.
Our hearts go out to you Angela and Brian and Jackson. You know she was loved and you will be reunited as a family one day.

Patti was our wonderful mail carrier but also a "friend"! She ALWAYS had time to talk for a minute, talk about her family and never forgot a dog anywhere. She kept "treats" for our pets and would stop to pet one any time she could. Her lovely face never had anything but a warm smile on it. Everyone's life was richer for having known her. We have lost a wonderful lady on Earth, but Heaven welcomed another Angel "home"-she will be missed
