Very sorry to hear about Paul, Sue. He was a great man and will be much missed.

Dear Sue, I am extremely sorry to hear about Paul. I first met him when I joined the MES staff as Head of English in 1980. At that time he had the thankless task of doing the timetable for both senior schools. We were colleagues for many years, and in retirement I always enjoyed seeing him at retired staff lunches. Paul was not only unfailingly professional but also supportive, affable and friendly - and always with a kindly twinkle in his eye. He was someone who made the world a better...

So sorry to hear of Paul's passing. Sue, you are very much in my thoughts. I have so many fond memories of my time spent working with Paul at DSMC. He was a wonderful mentor and colleague. He will be sadly missed. All my best

Very sad news. A great character. He introduced me to algebra: I can still picture him teaching that first class - the atmosphere of enthusiasm and feeling of insight and breaking new ground. THIS is what those strange symbols are for, and how to make use of them! Great sense of humour too - there was always a twinkle in his eye. And first-rate organiser.
