Not sure what to say?

Paul was our next door neighbor for 14 years. During that time, we always were greeted with a hello or a wave each time we saw him. We enjoyed our conversations with Paul, learning about his travels and his work at EMU. We also enjoyed hearing updates about Caleb and Daniel, his sons. Paul equally asked about our sons, Kyle and Mark. Paul was especially interested in supporting Kyle who is a student at EMU. During the past few weeks of Paul's life, which was also during the stay-at-home...

Dear Alice and entire family, We share in your sadness about Paul's unexpected passing. I wish the world could have experienced and known him longer, for his life inspired so many people. A man of integrity and conviction, Paul was a leader who led by example. He could be both serious and humorous, professional yet comfortable, evangelical and caring. He was always concerned for our wellbeing on the mission field .Always so caring for our children. He will be greatly missed. Love you Paul!

Dear Brother Paul,

You were such a good brother in Christ and faithful servant of God! It is a great loss for us but we know we will meet again. Rejoice with those Saints in Heaven.

Dear Paul, Rest In Peace!!!

We are saddened by Paul's passing. Paul has been a blessing to us; with his consistent smile, actions, prayers, and testimonies about Jesus, he encouraged us to learn God's word and trust and rely on God, and share the gospel with the presence of our God, especially when we were in a valley. We will remember Paul our warm brother and his faith, hope and love in God and someday praise our God together again.

Alice - we love you. May God continue to be your comfort and strength.

We extend sincere sympathy to the Chao family at this time. EMU has lost a respected, peerless ambassador. Paul's professionalism brought immeasurable respect to EMU, COB and its Marketing team. We shall miss his warmth, smile and genuine respect for his fellow man. May God bless his kind soul and bring comfort to the Chao family.

I had the distinct pleasure to work with Dr. Paul Chao, teaching many of the same courses at EMU, covering Global Marketing and International Business. A true scholar and will be missed.

I got to know Dr. Chao this past year working as a Graduate Assistant at Eastern Michigan University. He was a joy to work with, as he was always thoughtful, respectful, and engaging. I'm truly sorry to hear of his passing, and my deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
