Not sure what to say?

Dear Laurie, Devyn and Lauren: I hope you receive this as I just heard through my cousin who's son was a student of Paul's at Sunset High School. Paul was my neighbor in Santa Barbara and was a good friend even though he was 3 years older than me. We played street football, softball and basketball all the time. It was just last year that I found Paul and we talked on the phone for a very long time. The last time I saw Paul was in the summer of 1966 when Paul was home. We both worked out...

Dear Laurie, Devyn and Lauren,
You can't imagine Ken and my shock when we read about Paul's passing. Ken had just seen him at the MAC the week before. We are sending you all love and support during this tough transition. Your memories will be a blessing now.
Love,
Kit and Ken Boyko

Paul Copley played a large part in my relationship with my husband, whom I met in his class during our junior year. Mr. Copley was calm and interesting during a very important time in our lives. I think he secretly urged us on and made it possible for us to get to know one another. He challenged me to think and question my own opinions. I will forever be grateful for the part he played in my life. God bless you, Mr. Copley and may He be a comfort to your family as they mourn your loss.

Laurie, When our son Paul called about Paul's sudden death, it was a huge blow, to us all. Our thoughts and memories are mostly of gatherings in the Charming Way neighborhood. He was a special person. May God hold you in his arms and comfort you.

I just wanted to say that I remember Mr. Copley from Sunset High School. I also took "Modern Problems" from him and he was a very wonderful teacher. I will never forget him. I saw the obituary in the newspaper, and felt that I wanted to express my gratitude for having had him as a teacher. Peace to you and your family and know that he made a huge difference in people's lives - as he did mine.

Laurie, Devyn, Lauren- I am so sorry for your sudden loss. Paul has been a wonderful neighbor. I remember spending many lovely evenings at your beautiful home, admiring the latest remodeling project that you and Paul always took on each summer when you had a break from teaching. Plus Paul's commitment to his family was so admirable. I will never forget you all were the only family in Portland having dinner together, when I needed a photo for an article on the importance of family meals...

From the first time I met Mr. Copley we hit it off. I met him through a friend. There is no easy or simple way I would describe him. There were a lot of passionate and delibrate things about him. He was cut of a different cloth. My example...someone seemingly in need he would be first in line to stand and give to help even if it meant there would be less for him to use. He was complex and simple with his acts of selflessness. Of course he took great care of his family and loved one, the...
