I first met Paulie at his Sportscard shop in Middletown back in 2003. I always enjoyed going there and talking about cards, sports and of course the Yankees. He was a good man and I'm going to miss him.

To the DeSol Family,

My deepest regrets and condolences to you. I had Mr. DeSol for 7th grade Math. He was a tough teacher who knew exactly how to make someone understand what they were doing. He will be remembered.

PAUL WENT TO SCHOOL WITH MY DAUGHTERS-THEY LOVED HIM DEARLY,SO DID EVERYONE WHO KNEW HIM.HIS LOVE FOR SPORTS AND HIS LOVE FOR PEOPLE WAS HIS LIFE. ONE BEAUTIFUL MAN,YEARS WOULD PASS BEFORE WE'D MEET AGAIN--ALWAYS A KICK TO SHAKE HIS HAND AND TALK YANKEE BASEBALL. HIS STUDENTS WILL NEVER FORGET PAUL-HE TAUGHT THEM ABOUT LIFE,CAUSE HE KNEW HOW TO LIVE. THE WALLKILL SCHOOL SYSTEM LOST A GIANT OF A PERSON,BUT YOU CAN BET THE STUDENTS AND FELLOW TEACHERS WILL CHEERISH PAUL'S MEMORY FOREVER. SO! GO...

May God Bless Paul and his family. Paul was a good man. Our prays are with you.

To Paul's Family,
I was so saddened to hear of the loss of Mr. Desol. I was a 1987 Burke graduate and thought very highly of him. He was a great teacher, coach and friend. He had such a great way of being really tough and a teddy bear at the same time. He was a master at his profession and a mentor to so many. Remembering his life and the joy he brought to all of us will allow him to live on in our hearts forever. My prayers and thoughts are with you during this very difficult time....

Dear Wendy and Family,
I was very saddened to hear of the loss of Paul.He was a very special, remarkable person and a wonderful friend to my brother,Bob.Despite his own busy schedule and family responsibilities, when illness struck our family, Paul was one of the first people to offer a helping hand and a cheerful word of encouragement. He touched the lives of so many, and he will be sorely missed.May God bless you and your family. You were his joy.
Sincerely,
Brenda Turner Wardle...

Paul Desol was a great young man. He epitomized what parents pray for in raising a son. I coached Paul on a little league team in his early teens. He was polite ,considerate of his peers , and a pleasure to work with. He maintained his beautiful manner through out his life. He will be missed by all who knew him.

To the Desol Family,
My family is truly saddened at the loss of Paul. Paul spent many hours at our house during my growing up. On more than one occasion he brought by Mrs. Desol's famous cookies to brighten up a dark day or celebrate a good one. Thank you Paul for my first trip to Yankee Stadium, for being such a good friend to my brother, and for being such a positive role model for my children. If success were measured by how much we are respected and loved by others Paul you are one...
