Not sure what to say?

I will always remember you as my favorite priest at St. Jerome's. May you rest in peace.

I used to tease my parents & tell them Father Gaughan knew me before they did. He arranged my adoption in 1954. He was a good friend and fishing buddy for my dad. They built a boat together in a garage on Willoughby Spit. They had to tear a wall down to get it out. When I was 18 he let me help lead the folk music for Sun. Mass at Star of the Sea. He actually let me sing from "Jesus Christ Superstar" during a Holy Week service. He cared for all his parishioneers. I will always...

Father Gaughen was a huge part of St John's. He had such a kind and light hearted demeanor that his faith in God poured over to all he touched. He had such an encouraging way that led you to believe even more in that God would show you the way. His presence will sorely be missed. We know he is with God and looking over us all.

We had the pleasure of meeting with Father Gaughan many, many times- He blessed our new home in May 2002, and had dinner with us and our family. What a wonderful man he was.

Fr. Gaughan was more than just a priest

Our Dearest Father Gaughan was such a holy man ~ a man deeply touched by The Holy Spirit ~ a man deeply in touch with the people. Rest peacefully in the arms of the angels & please watch over us...

Mary and I really enjoyed meeting and having Dinner and Breakfast with Fr. Gaughan when we visted Mark & Denise family, we could see the on-going family relationship the Rutledge's had with Fr. Paul.
We will keep Fr. Paul in our prayers and know that he is in heaven looking out for all of us here in Earth!
Fr. Gaughan may you Rest in Peace.

Fr.Gaughan was more than a priest who celebrated Mass and the Sacraments - he was like a grandfather to our children and a wonderful friend of the family. We have been so blessed to have shared in a special time of his retired years. We love you and will miss you Fr. Paul! Rest in Peace...

Father Gaughan will always be remembered in our family. He is responsible for for building the sanctuary at St Jeromes Catholic Church that we celebrate mass in and my wife Tina and I were married in 23 years ago.
