Not sure what to say?

We are sad for your terrible loss. Our hearts and prayers are with your family. Chris & Loren Vogenthaler

My dearest Lewis family,
This is Shawna Sterkel I and my family are very saddened to hear of this tremendous lose. I don't know if you remember me but I was your first babysitter and nanny for a very long while . I have thought of all of you over the years and have felt bad we lost contact over the years. I had recently thinking of all of you as I have had an extreme lose myself of loosing my oldest son whom I had brought to meet all of you when he was younger . I wasn't sure how to...

I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" (Isaiah 61:1, 2) sustain your family during this challenging time. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

An example of what a kind loving man Paul was:
He accompanied his aging grandfather, Wilbur Nelson Edwards, all the way from Hawaii to our home in Kenya, caring for him during the entire journey and afterwards to help him settle in with us. For Paul this was a natural thing to do and the arduous task certainly required no special gratitude.

When I was in my mid to late 20's I used to visit my mother, Roni in Boulder every Christmas/New Year's. While my mother had to work, Paul and Chris adopted me and allowed me to be part of their truly amazing family dynamic and have always set the bar for how I wanted my own family life to be. After seeing Chris, Maile, and Reed each, individually this year, I was greatly looking forward to seeing and skiing with Paul this coming winter.

Paul was a gentleman. He was professional and committed and set the bar high for all of us in Boulder's medical community. What a tragic loss this is, but how lucky our city was to have so many years of service from such a gifted man.

I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing ,He was a sweet person and a great doctor. I knew him for the 18 years that I worked at BCH and he treated me for a broken ankle and I would run into him off and on during my job . My condolences to his family , God bless all who knew him . Dear Mrs. Lewis and Family,

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Paul (as I called him) was an amazing person and I would like to share some of my memories with him.

We lived a couple of blocks from your house on Wildwood Road and Paul used to drive by his Ferraris. As you know, he had two of them and his 1984 308 GTSi Quattrovalvole (black/tan) was the 1st one I got a ride in 30 some years ago. We went roaring up NCAR one morning and he dropped me off at...

Chris, my heart goes out to you and your family. You'll be able to draw on your years with hospice for help and support, but I know it won't be easy. Prayers you you and your family. Peggy Lowe
