Not sure what to say?

Dear Magree family -
I recently heard from my mother in Arlington of Paul's passing. I grew up as a parishioner at St. Andrew's Parish in Upper Arlington and we always attented the 12:30 folk mass. I loved those songs and can still hear the entire church belting out "I am the resurrection and the life....." Paul and Barbara Magree made those masses what they were - a truly joyous celebration. All "contemporary masses" I've been to since then seem quite weak in comparison. I didn't...

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of one of the best teachers I have ever had. Mr. Magree was one of the most inspiring and dedicated people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He never gave up on his students, he made even the worst singers strive to greatness! I will never forget his silly warm ups and his never ending humor and kindness. He was a kind hearted wonderful man. I will never forget him, he taught me what it means to truely be great at what you love so much to do. To his...

Barbara and family,
We were saddened to hear of your news (I missed the notice in the paper, but Roxie called to let us know.) Our prayers and thoughts are with you. God bless.

I was in the last class that Mr. Magree taught at Adams Junior High in Johnstown. He was one of the most memorable teachers I ever had. My favorite memory was him bringing in a VHS tape of Australian Rules football. He was a great teacher and funny man. I will never forget him.

My husband, Jerry, and I have lived across the street from the Magrees for 18 years. We will forever remember the countless times he, Barbara, and the kids walked their old dog, Boscoe, past our house en route to the Olentangy River.

Seeing the whole family walking along always brought such joy to my heart. It was obvious the whole family loved each other so. And, looking back, I think what a lucky man Paul was to have had such a wonderful family…and how lucky they were, too, to...

Dear Barbara and family,We all want you to know you're in our thoughts and prayers at this time.
We have such happy memories of dear Paul. He'll never be forgotten.
Love, from the Thoman Family

Mr. Magree will be greatly missed. He was a great inspiration to me and I am honored to have been a part of the "family sing-a-longs." My heart goes out to the Magree family, my love and prayers are with you.

He came for testimony, to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the light. The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. (Jn1:6-9) May God hold you and your family in the cradle of His arms. Thank you for being a true and faithful witness for Christ, and letting your light shine in our world. Our prayers and condolences are with you all. God's peace to you.

My condolences to Mr. Magree's family. In thinking back on him these past few days what comes to mind most is how much he loved his family and how proud he was when he was with them.

At Jones, he always set the bar high, and he never believed for a moment that we could not sound as good as the Vienna Boys Choir, or any other great youth choir, for that matter.

He will be fondly remembered by his students as our first Aussie friend, a teacher who really made an effort to...
