Not sure what to say?

It's been 6 yrs. since we visited with Paul and Norma, and 3 yrs. since Paul's passing; and we're so very thankful for that day we were reconnected with our Favorite Teacher and got to rehash old memories! Besides being our Gov't. teacher at Harding, we also volunteered during the summers to help Paul with the City Park Recreation
activities! So many great memories from a man who made learning fun, and, in turn, touched and enriched so
many lives! Paul was respected and loved by many!

Mr. O'Rourke was my Government teacher in 1963-64. At that time he would always greet our class by saying, "good morning class. Are you full of vim, vigor and vitality?" Of all the teachers I had during my high school days, Mr. O'Rourke was the one teacher I remember most. RIP Mr. O'Rourke.

Rest in Peace, Mr. O'Rourke......one of my favorite teachers and my boss for many years with summer recreation program. He had a subtle way of guiding, and wanted to keep the youth busy with fun activities. You know when teenagers respected him, he was doing something right!

I am so sorry. He was my Government teach at Harding High School 1971-72. He was sponsoring the "Swingers Club" which was a dance club. I never went to it. He taught the Constitution for the first 6 weeks and after that it was distinctions.

Paul was my government teacher at harding in 1969. I liked his class very much yet it was not until I got to college that I really appreciated how much he contributed to my education. Thank you Paul for encouraging me and so many other students. Your life here made a difference. May God bless your family and hold you safely in his arms forever.

My sentiment regarding Mr O'Rourke is the same as others who have posted...he was one of my all time favorite teachers too. He made me think and question the status quo and encouraged that. Prayers and warm thoughts to his family.

Any questions, comments or observations? is a phrase I still use today thanks to Mr. O'Rourke. He also introduced me to parks and recreation. I went on to get a Masters Degree in P&R and still work in the profession today! Thanks Mr. O'Rourke!

I was in Mr. O'Rourke's government class in 1969. He was a wonderful, caring teacher who encouraged us to think creatively and take risks. Prayers for his family and friends.

It was a pleasure to be in Mr. O'Rourke's class . It was one class that I thoroughly enjoyed & he always made us think about what was happening in the world . My condolences to your family .
