Paul Thompson Obituary
He was born to James and Fannie Thompson on October 10, 1946 in Fairmont, W. Virginia where he grew up.
He is a veteran of the US Army being stationed at Ft Hood and served in Viet Nam. He later managed Dairy Queens throughout Central Texas. He also owned and operated the Dairy Queen/Backland Burger Barn in Bartlett. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Karen Lea Thompson, son James Thompson, Jar and wife Susan of Rogers, daughter Shannon Richkowski and husband David of El Paso. Son Nicholas Kiesling and wife Barbara of Moffit, brother Johnny Thompson and wife Rita of San Antonio, sister Barbara Varner, Chris Carney of Flemington, W, VA, sister Joan Turoczy of Flemington W VA. Grandchildren James Thompson US Navy Hawaii, Zachary Thompson of Temple, Alicia Patterson and Paul of Georgia, Tyler Thompson of Rogers, Olivia and Lawson Richkowski of El Paso, Ruby Love Kiesling of Moffit. Great grand children Cassandra Patterson of Georgia and well as many nieces and nephews.

I didn't get to visit with Karen and Paul as often as I would have liked, but when we did he was always so nice and thoughtful. I appreciate the love and care that he always gave my Brother Ted (Karen's Dad) and the love he showed so much for Karen and her children. One more thing to love about Paul, he kept that coffee pot going and my cup full. Karen, we won't be able to be there with you in person but my arms will be felt around you. Love you so much and I know how much you loved Paul and will miss him. Aunt Alice and Willy.

my heart is broken to hear of this news. Paul was a great man and a great boss! i worked for him at burger barn and he was the sweetest person! Even after I quit working there but would stop in, he was always interested in what I was doing. I always thought about Karen & Paul.
