Not sure what to say?

I find myself chuckling over one of the controversies Paul caused and think he might get a laugh from me sharing this. Paul and I both completed undergraduate studies at Baylor University. I graduated in 1985 before this incident but remember how strongly Uncle Melvin reacted to what Paul considered merely a very smart marketing campaign when he ran for student government.
Paul thought it would be brilliant for a Baylor Bear to have campaign signs saying "Vote for PAW" and so he ran his...

I would like to share a great memory of Mr Warren.
In 8th grade Mr Warren came to our class to be our sub while Mr Sauter was out. The second he walked into the classroom I knew exactly who he was. I went up to him straight away just to tell him that I was best friends with his daughter Isabel. I doubt he knew who I was, but the second I said that his face lit up with happiness. I will always remember that smile he gave me and never forget that memory of him. Isabel you should always...

August 25, 2023

Paul, at the time, a tiny eleven-year-old kid - bespectacled, blond-headed, blue-eyed with a bowl haircut - was first to befriended me at church when I was twelve, when our family having just moved to the USA began attending Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas. We instantly became close friends and remained so throughout high school. A few years later, I introduced him to my fiancé, Mary, and he became my Best Man at my wedding.

Mary and I followed Paul’s journey as he finished...

Paul was a friend long before he was the first to visit me in Arlington Memorial Hospital when I was diagnosed with Myelodysplasia, which converted to Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. He became someone who checked on my kids often to see how they were coping. Such a caring young man and he grew into a great minister. I wish I could have talked to him one last time. We'll miss you, Paul, and all that you did for us. But then again we'll see you in heaven. Love you, Debbie

Paul & Thomas

Paul exuded the unconditional love of a Heavenly Father to me by not condoning bad behavior while remaining unjudgmental. He help change me for the better & I’m closer to Jesus for it.

Julie, Isabel & Aynabel - what Paul once knew by faith, he now knows by sight. And while we are joyful for that, we also mourn the loss of our friend of 42 years. We will miss doing life with him on this side of eternity, but because we know Paul&

Julie, Isabel & Aynabel - what Paul once knew by faith, he now knows by sight. And while we are joyful for that, we also mourn the loss of our friend of 42 years. We will miss doing life with him on this side of eternity, but because we know Paul's Savior, Jesus Christ, we will get to do life with him FOREVER in eternity. What a BOOMER SOONER & SIC'EM BEARS party that will be!

I grew up with Paul at Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas where we became friends when he became an "item" with one of my close friends. Paul had GREAT hair and always had a big comb in his back pocket which he would pull out regularly and flip back his what we called back then "wings"! I will always picture him this way. When he and Julie moved to Houston, I was shocked to know they were in the neighborhood right next to mine. This allowed us to reconnect. I love how even though...

Changing the world just became a little harder. You were such a great encourager. Thank you.
