Paulette Middlebrooks Francis Cox Funeral Home Bastrop, Louisiana PORTLAND, ARK. Funeral services for Mrs. Paulette Francis of Portland, Arkansas will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Bro. Joey Kennedy officiating. Paulette Middlebrooks Francis was born February 11, 1953 in Bastrop to the late Lawrence Middlebrooks and Erma Lee Reynolds Middlebrooks and she died September 7, 2012 at her home in Portland, Arkansas. Paulette was very active in the church as long as her health allowed. She and her husband, Billy Joe Francis, owned and operated Francis Grocery in Portland until his death. She later worked as a case worker for home health agenencies until becoming disabled. Paulette is survived by a daughter, Jewel "Julie" White; a grandson, Christian White and son-in-law, Ervin White, Jr. all of Portland, Arkansas; her sister, Bonnie Pack of Montrose, Arkansas; three brothers, Jerry Middlebrooks and his wife, Effie of Marksville, Louisiana, Steve Middlebrooks and his wife, Judy of Bastrop, Louisiana, Mike Middlebrooks and his wife, Kathy also of Bastrop; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and a host of extended family. The family will receive friends at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop immediatly following the services for a time of fellowship.
