She survived the Great Depression of the 1930s.
She survived World War II during the 1940s.
She quit high school during the war, as many people did, to work at an airplane plant located at the current Ford City Mall, on an assembly line, checking airplane gears. Her family affectionately called her Americas Secret Weapon.
She survived losing both her parents in her mid 20s while having three small children, ages...
