Not sure what to say?

Rest In Peace Coach Pete. You are so loved and missed.

I watched Pete coach my daughter for 8 years. He taught the kids to set goals, work hard, persevere through adversity, respect others, downplay the drama, and show sportsmanship. Those qualities have served the kids far, far more than any race. He was actually more of a “life coach.” Thanks for all you invested in others. We are blessed that we knew you. You are missed and fondly remembered.

May the love of God, friends and family carry you through your grief. I am sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept my condolences. 2nd Thessalonians 2:15, 16.

Condolences to Buecher family. May Peter Rest In Peace. Prayers and thoughts to all members of his family.

I first met Coach Buecher as a freshman swimmer at Alexander Ramsey High School in the fall of 1981. He was my coach during my high school years. Our senior year, we won Ramsey's first boys swimming conference title in a long long time, possibly ever. Mounds View was a swimming power then, we knocked them off. Coach Buecher did that. As I mentioned, it was high school, and he gave a lot to the team and probably a lot of it went unrecognized. I certainly appreciate it now much more, as...

Our deepest condolence to the family. May he rest in peace.

I met Pete in 2000, when he was the knew swim coach at Orono. I myself was a diver but knew that this new coach meant business and was going to take the team to new heights. Pete set new expectations, new goals, and brought a team to a new level of competition than they had been before. He helped kids who didn't know the first thing about swimming, become competitors, realizing their own talents while growing their confidence. And while I was in the diving well, Pete was incredibly...

We miss you Pete. You gave so much to the kids and asked for nothing in return, you were a great coach and an even greater man. Our family is forever grateful that you touched our lives. Keep waving that towel from up there, we'll see you again one day. Whoop!

I knew Pete in Eau Claire, and then many years later at Orono, he became my daughter's coach. One of my favorite memories is when Orono competed against Columbia Heights. They did not have a very good team and Orono would have crushed them. Pete required every one of the girls to swim something they had either never done before or weren't very good at to even out the field a little bit. Orono still won, but the girls from Columbia Heights were not humiliated. THAT is sportsmanship in a...
