Not sure what to say?

My heart goes out to Pete's family. I just learned of Pete's death today reading it in the University of Illinois Alumni magazine. I went sat next to Pete in 8th grade band and knew him throughout high school. We also both attended Illinois together. I was not close with Pete but always knew him as a nice guy and a hard worker.

My prayers are with Pete's family during this difficult time.

Dear Nora and family: My thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time; I have been praying for Pete for the past year. I remember him so well from LHS band: Pete and Jeff Hawkins standing up for a fantastic trumpet duet and impressing all of us with their talent and dedication to music. I always knew Pete to be a kind, funny and warm person, from grade school through adulthood. My sincerest condolences on your loss and my many prayers for all of you.

Dear Nora & Family,
Sorry to hear about my cousin losing his battle with CA.
He was one cool guy.
Love,
Terry (Krammen) Simmons

I had the honor and privilege of working with Pete at HSBC. What I will remember always was Pete's quiet confidence and razor sharp intellect. What I will most remember was that he was genuine and possessed limitless integrity. They broke the mold after they made Pete. I am glad I knew him and will miss him.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Pete's family. I worked with Pete at HI then HSBC and remember him as one always willing to share his knowledge and experience. He was well respected and admired by many. Always remaining calm in the face of adversity. May he rest in peace.

I'm so sad to hear of the news. I worked with Pete for several years at HSBC and he was such a gentle soul. He will be missed. Teresa Prentiss

I was deeply saddened with the news of Pete Sesterhenn. I worked in his team at HSBC from 2004-2010. He was such a kind person and one of the nicest Managers to work for.He was always polite and quite often talked about families.. especially kids. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
I would like to express my deepest condolences and our thoughts and Prayers are with his family.

I worked with Pete for 5 years and still cannot believe he is not among us. The first thing I think of is always his ready and sincere smile, his thoughtfulness and high integrity. He always gave anyone he was talking with his complete attention, no matter how many pressing things he had on his mind. I remember bringing my son once to the office and introduced him to Pete. Every time after that, he always remembered to ask me how he was doing. I just knew that family was the most important...

I worked for Pete from 1994-2000. I was very fond of him and had a lot of respect for him not only as a boss but as a man with a lot of compassion and integrity. I was so saddened when I heard the news. My prayers are with Nora, Kit, Zach and Hayley
