Peter Ray VandeHaar

Sorry to see mention of Peter's passing in the Spark. Peter and I knew each other through our 4 years together at Calvin and were roommates along with Gary, Kees, John, Jerry our Junior and Senior years. Peter loved to talk philosophy (We were together in Jellema's class) and he was more knowledgeable and world wise than the rest of us youngsters. He loved to cook spaghetti for us. I hope he had an enjoyable and fulfilling life. He was a kind-hearted and caring friend.

Dear Penny
I am so sorry to hear about Peter's passing. He was our family Dr. for a long time and was Ron's Dr. at the VA for a long time. I don't know if you remember me but I worked with your at Broodside School. You are in my prayers at this difficult time. Ron passed in 2013 so I am alone now too.

I worked with Dr. VandeHaar for nearly 20 years at the VA Outpatient Clinic. He taught me many things from time to time which I then passed on to our patients. He had a unique sense of humor and was a pleasure to know. I'm sincerely sorry for your loss.
