The distinctive voice of Phil Pepe's Pep Talks will be forever etched in my mind. What would Yankees history be without him? Was fortunate to catch his reminiscences of Yogi Berra at Yogi's museum in early October. We could have sat there listening for hours! So many great stories captured by one of the world's best story tellers. We'll miss you, Phil!

Through my Dad, sportswriter Bernie Beglane, I was fortunate to know Mr. Pepe growing up in the 60s and 70s. I always remember Mr. Pepe as being kind and always so positive. A few years ago I reached out to Mr. Pepe out of the blue to re-connect him to my Dad. I told him he was one of the nicest people I ever met, which he was. We stayed in touch the last few years. This past summer, I mentioned how I read his Lou Carnesecca book over a series of visits to my Dad and what joy it brought...
